Lanartex Academy: new courses available
Product families: how to choose representative samples for testing and monitor quality and performance over time.

Fibre composition, repeat sizes, finishes/dyeing: a single fabric can be developed into a potentially endless series of variants from the same design. This is what we call a product family (or collection, series, range), often offered for the same supply because it lets the customer meet different end-use requirements while keeping a uniform design.
When a specification requires the whole family to comply with the reference standards, it is time to draw distinctions that do not follow price logic: in the laboratory, what matters is quality and performance. How do you select the representative sample – or samples – the individual cases to be tested so that the performance verified for one product can be extended to the whole product family?
You will learn to select the most significant families and variants to test, so that they are a representative sample of the family they stand for. How do you check that this performance is maintained? And how do you communicate all this to the market? Testing is needed at the sample-range stage and at first production, checking the main critical points according to the nature of the fabric and its finishing/dyeing processes.
We will show you that checking and monitoring the quality and the chemical and physical performance of an entire product family over time is possible, while optimising time and costs, with the help of Lanartex!
Participation in the course is limited to and exclusive for the company requesting it, with no minimum or maximum number of participants; the price can be tailored to the course modules you wish to attend.
